The ember salamander is the peaceful Enedalian counterpart of the ruby salamanders native to Arsudal. It prefers the steady warmth of kilns, ovens and heated workshops, where its heat can be put to practical use. Most of the time, that heat is easy to regulate. A frightened, neglected or offended salamander may flare sharply, however, and is quite capable of making its displeasure everyone’s problem. It learns quickly which people are most likely to give it what it wants.
Notes
- Ember salamanders are fond of kilnpepper, a dried red pod. A keeper can use this preference to manage the creature.
